The authorities from Vâlcea county fail celebrating the Day of the National Hymn

Thursday, on july the 29 2010, when the authorities from Râmnicu Vâlcea city decided to reinterpret the national hymn, in the Zăvoi Park, they scrued all up. It is the most appropriate term to use in this case in order to describe what had happened there. The tone was given by the priests which had brought the bishop Gherasim Cristea to face the public just as he had got out of the hospital where he had confronted with the illness and the pains caused by the century of life which he is close to celebrate. Even if he had used five microphones, the public couldn’t understand what he had to say, so the religious service has been a total failure. Then, it came the time for the mayor Romeo Rădulescu to make a fool out of himself. He destroyed the events of the national  holyday of the Romanian National Hymn, with his speeches which would’ve sound better if they were written by preschool children. Practically, besides the fact that he wanted to thank to the people who had gathered there and that he is honored to be the mayor of the city where the National Hymn of Romania has been invented and interpreted for the first time in the year 1848, Romeo Rădulescu didn’t say anything in his speech. We can not blame this man a lot because, as it is already known, he came to this job absolutely by mistake, thanks to the fact that the ex mayor of Râmnicu Vâlcea, Mircia Gutău, his godfather, had been send to his rightful place, meaning: to jail! As for the prefect, if at the other editions of this holiday, we could also listen to the message from the government, on 29 of July 2010, we couldn’t here something similar, mainly because Petre Ungureanu just read a useless speech in which he just underlined the things that mayor Rădulescu had also insisted on. Then, he just folded the papers probably willing to recycle. Not the papers, but that speech written on them, thinking that he is going to have enough days as prefect of the Vâlcea County so that he may say those same lines on July the 29 2011, at the same event. The only politicians which came with heads up at this event, where those that have nothing to do with the current government from Romania, the PNL and PSD members, like: the deputy Cristi Buican, the deputy Aurel Vlădoiu, the senator Emilian Frâncu and the president of Vâlcea’s County Council, Ion Cîlea. The saddest thing is that now, when the authorities from Vâlcea County had scrued all up, a lot of people came to take part to this event. We have numbered even more people than it is written in the history book that were present at the first singing of Romania’s National Hymn, in the year 1848. Why sad? Because after this failure we believe that people will choose to do anything except to come to such events in the next years from now on…
