Even if the mayoralty of Galicia was almost fully forgotten by those who should be helping it with various funds which are absolutely necessary for the execution of works which are in progress at this time, works that are included in the local development strategy, the local government manages to do a lot with very little money, ensuring the smooth running of work. As happens every year, unfortunately, after the agricultural works, the roads are in a sorry state. This year, however, the local administration deals rehabilitation of roads which are strictly necessary for all citizens. We reffer primarily to the road which is linking Galicea and Stoileşti, the road which begins near the school from the Teiu village… This road was impassable for some time. Not even the wagons were able to pass this road in order to carry the citizens of Galicea which own agricultural areas between the two localities (about 30 hectares). This way, according to the vicemayor Florea Udrea, has recently been arranged so that, currently, can run on it with absolutely any type of vehicle. Also, another road connecting the villages Cocoru with Great Hill, in the point Crivăţ, a length of 1.5 km. In the coming days, the local government plans to start the works in the at Cucu, on some portions of communal roads: Bratia – Cremenari, and At Teodoreşti. The local government of Galicea gives a great importance to other kind of works. Such as: the recently built fountain in the Zăvoi park. ‘It was necessary not only for humans and animals to calm their need for water especially in times of heat, but mostly to help us in tree planting or trimming to maintain green space. Also, were made wells into the village of Bratia Hill, dug wells about 50 meters deep, so that in periods of drought, animals do not die of thirst. We also want to build gutters and a saivan with an area of 80 square feet in the Great Hill.’, we were informed by the vicemayor of Galicea, Florea Udrea. He also made a strongly call to all the citizens of the village of Galicea to devote a part of their little free time to make up cleaning in their own households before winter, cleaning which should consist mainly of: fixing the trees, cleaning the ditches, bridges and other unsilting so that any heavy rains that may fall in this speciffic time of the year not surprise anyone on the wrong foot and cause regrettable damages.

Another very important road, that is, currently in the process of modernization is the county road connecting the municipalities of Galicia (across its civic center) and Olanu village, road upgrading which deals The County Roads and Bridges Department is a comprehensive work funded by the County Council County, through it’s president, Ion Cîlea (photo).
